AE 201 is a fully electrical
label applicator: no compressed air is required for its operation. This means simple
installation and low operative costs. It can apply the last printed label on still
or slowly moving targets.
It can work effectively in applications where the data can change label by label. The
label is printed and detached from the liner by the printer and picked up on the
application moving plate by means of the depression generated by a brushless fan. The
plate than moves towards the target thanks to a microprocessor controlled stepping motor.
The contact with the surface is detected by means of a patented photoelectric device.
After the contact the plate is immediately retracted to the home position, ready for a new
application cycle.
This feature allows the automatic adaptation of the stroke to the height and/or the
distance of the target.
This applicator has been designed for a wide range of needs, and is particularly suited
for semi-automatic application and for the labeling of weighted prepackaged food.
In these cases the operation without compressed air is a great advantage because in the
places where are normally installed as supermarkets, stores, offices etc. frequently
compressed air it is not available, It is also intrinsically safe. No protections
are required, due to the little force of the tamp.
AE201 can be easily interfaced with the conveyor by means of isolated signals for synchronization and alarm.
The speed and impact force parameters are user programmable, to allow the optimization of the speed and of the "touch" to the needs of the application. The accuracy is very high, better than +/- 0.5 mm and the application rate can exceed 100 labels per minute.
