Phoenix Italia has been founded in 1994.
The first product developed by the company was an original, low cost, tamp-blow applicator, designed to be used in connection with the Datamax Prodigy Plus label printer. In a short time, different versions of this applicator where derived to be integrated with several other printer models available on the market.
In response to further market needs, we have
also developped a line of large-size label applicators for pallets (1995) and a small
electrical applicator (1996).
The AP 4000 has been introduced on the market in the 1998, to
satisfy the need of an industrial-grade applicator with good autonomy but economically
competitive. This machine uses a cheap printer but due to the external unwinder-rewinder
it handles big rolls of labels.
During the year 1999 the technology of the clutch-less, stepping motor driven rewinder developed for the AP 4000 has ben used in the AP 4042, an applicator that can use the most poular print engines on the market, like Sato 84xx, Datamax PE 42 and PAX 110.
The lack uf a product for primary labeling where typically preprinted labels are used has been covered in the year 2000 with the AP 120, a wipe-on applicator with a speed up to 40 m/min and with its tamp-on and tamp-blow version AP 120.
The mission of Phoenix Italia
To design and produce label applicators for many popular label printers, continuously upgrading existing products to meet the most demanding application requirements and maintaining high and constant quality standards.
To supply technical support to the customers in
order to quickly find solutions for any problem concerning the use of the products or
their integration in packaging lines and in complex industrial automation systems.
Sales organization
The sales network is exclusively indirect, through distributors and system integrators that are free to sell our products under their own name and brand. They integrate our applicators with printers purchased separately and install the complete print/apply systems at the end-user facilities.
A deliberate choice of our company was to concentrate resources mainly on product development and not on direct-sales and post-sale structures, so we normally do not supply our equipment to the end-users. For the same reasons, we do not resell printers or materials: this is the business of our customers.
